Located on North Avenue Beach, Castaways will open to the public this Memorial Day weekend with live entertainment Saturday through Monday and will serve lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (weather permitting). Private party space is available which can accommodate up to 400 people’perfect for corporate outings and special events. Castaways now offers Cabanas available for rent daily through Labor Day. Patio Opens: Saturday, May 28

The “crew” at Dive Bar is eager to announce the opening of their new nautical patio. This season, set sail for sunshine and sit back with tropical drinks served dockside beneath pink fringe umbrellas, colorful strung lighting, florals and more. Dive Bar’s enclosed, 50-person backyard patio and dog-friendly sidewalk cafe are located on Halsted street in the heart of vibrant Lakeview.

The full dining and drink menus will be available outside Monday-Thursday, 5-11 p.m.; Friday, 5 p.m.-midnight; and Saturday, 3 p.m.-midnight. Sunday Bingo’Brunch service will be offered outdoors starting at 11 a.m. and the patio will remain open until 11 p.m. Menus may be viewed’here.

The seafood-centric restaurant boasts a bevy of nautical delights, including lobster bisque, calamari, crab cake, boom boom shrimp, grilled oysters, seared tuna nachos, shrimp po’boys, lobster roll, seafood boils (clams; mussels; peel and eat shrimp; snow crab; king crab; crawfish), fish ‘n chips, bourbon-infused seared salmon, Asian black bean sea bass and grilled lobster tail.
