Belly Up Smokehouse & Saloon, the South Loop BBQ joint, will host a Fourth of July Patio Picnic Party on Sunday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests will enjoy a special “1776 Menu” of picnic favorites featuring $1 Candied Bacon, $7 Windy City Sliders (pulled pork, smoked brisket, windy city sauce), $7 Bacon Wrapped Smoked Franks, and $6 Fried Pickles served with chipotle ranch.
Drink specials will include $4 PBR cans and an American-themed shot flight for $12 featuring Red (Bacardi Razz Rum with raspberry puree and cranberry juice), White (Ciroc Apple) and Blue (Fords Gin with blue cura’ao, lime juice and black cherry puree) shots.
In honor of the American holiday, people are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. Patrons can also pose for pictures in front of the 8ft x 12ft American flag. Castaways Bar & Grill on North Avenue Beach announces their Fourth of July weekend entertainment lineup (full schedule below). Castaways will serve lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (weather permitting). Menu items include fresh salads, wraps, sandwiches, and quesadillas accompanied by frozen cocktails and even Corona in a can (No bottles on the beach).
Castaways now offers cabanas available for rent daily through Labor Day.
The two cabanas are located on the North end of the Castaways upper deck with a’capacity of 10 to 12 people (max) each. The cabanas are available for rent from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
