Reza’s May Offer More than You Can Handle

by Matt B on June 24th, 2008

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I make for an awful morning person. Fortunately, just a few blocks from my apartment (and a block south of Anteprima) is Reza’s Restaurant, which offers a Sunday brunch buffet that will make you look forward to Sunday mornings.

reza's restaurantThe lively restaurant is airy and relaxed with polished hardwood floors and exposed brick. The large windows in the front fill the space with light (as does the skylight), and the tables near them are prime spots for people-watching fans.

The Sunday brunch offers dozens and dozens of items, some of which you won’t even find on the restaurant’s extensive menu. You’ll have to come back a few times in order to try everything. The weekday buffet is a little smaller (and a little cheaper) but is still just as delicious. If you’re not big on buffets, both the lunch and dinner menus provide a long list of lamb, beef, chicken, vegetarian, and seafood options, and even some combinations of those. Well-known dishes like hummus, falafel, baba ghannouj, couscous, lamb kabobs, and filet mignon are all obviously available, but be sure to also try the sea bass, grilled portabella mushroom, Cornish hen, duck, or lamb loin chops.

Come hungry! Portions here are quite generous, and dinners come with soup, pita, and a plate of feta, parsley, and radishes as an appetizer. If you’re not careful, you may find yourself full before your meal even arrives.
