Dinner Divas
The Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club will have you saying, “What a drag!” and enjoying yourself the entire time. With its campy entertainment, playful menu, and neon drinks, this place certainly isn’t your grandfather’s supper club. Stylishly-dressed clientele are seated on white-leather banquettes amidst flickering candles, flashing disco lights, and pulsing club music. And of course, there are the divas. Approximately every half hour, female impersonators (everyone from Tina Turner to Diana Ross to Madonna) strut their stuff through the restaurant, “singing” and dancing in a manner that is no less than fabulous, dahling.
The menu takes comfort food for a spin: enjoy appetizers like coconut crab cakes with dill tarter, focaccia-bread crust topped with chicken breast and garlic alfredo sauce, calamari with orange-tomato-ginger sauce, or fried wontons stuffed with smoked chicken. For a bit of heat to go with the spicy show, go for the mahi-mahi paired with Serrano-cilantro cream sauce or the Bombay chicken served with tamarind chutney. The Top Hat Tender is a memorable steak with red-onion marmalade, and the goat-cheese raviolis are a must-try with their creamy red-pepper sauce. The wine list is small, but with over 100 different martinis and 25 margaritas, there are plenty of delightful drinks to choose from. Be on the lookout for half-price martinis on Sundays and Tuesdays and half-price margaritas on Wednesdays!
Invite your friends; there are girls’-night-out and boys’-night-out specials (Wednesdays and Fridays, respectively), bachelorette packages, and parties of up to 25 people can reserve the restaurant’s back room. By the end of the evening, you and your guests will be purring with delight.
