National Train Day
National Train Day is on May 9th.- Chicago’s events will happen at Union Station from 
10am-3pm 225 South Canal Street.' There will be Live Music featuring the group Unique and Shemekia Copeland.' In addition there will be all types of train equipment displays including:
- Superliner “Empire” Sleeper
- Amfleet II Coach
- Horizon Club-Dinette
And the display will also include Amtrak equipment.' Speaking of Amtrak, there will be an Amtrakids Depot.' This display will cater to the kids with an appearance by The Radio Disney Road Crew.' There will be giveaways, games, a dance party, face painters, magicians and much more.' These festivities are from 10:15am-12pm.
During the day there will also be exhibits such as the Go Green Express which explore electric rail and energy efficiency, Honor the Bright Land which is a representation of rail operations in' the urban, rural and wilderness and the Train Day Trading Post.' The Trading Post will have all types of Train souvenirs such as engineer’s hats and whistles.
