The Chicago Green City Market will have a Pork Fest on January 17th.' The Green City Market supports local area farmers and provide fresh produce to our Windy City.

The Pork Fest will feature Pork of course from Snout to Tail.' Using their indoor location, they will also have area chefs cooking up the best in Pork.' It’s sure going to smell good in there.' Some of the area restaurant chefs include chefs from:

As a special treat author Gary Wiviott will be there talking about his upcoming book Low and Slow:' Mastering the Art of Barbeque in Five Easy Lessons.' I’m up for barbeque anyway I can get it.

The Market is at the South end of Lincoln Park between Clark and Stockton Drive.' They will be open from 8am to 1pm.' While you are there make sure you pick up some fresh fruits and vegetables from the vendors.' If one of your resolutions is to eat healthy, this is a great place for you to come on a Saturday morning.' Take the entire family and check out all of the samples that will be available.

On the subject of pigs: Have you ever been to a pig roast in Chicago? I try not to eat meat so much, but pig roasts are pretty amazing.
