Visit Chicago’s Kiddieland

A staple in the Chicago area has been the Kiddieland Amusement Park.' Founded in 1929, it has about 30 rides. It’s very small in comparison to Six Flaggs however Kiddieland makes up for it in charm.

Earlier this year Kiddieland announced that this would be their final season.' Many of us grew up going to Kiddieland so it is very sad that September 27th will be the final day.'

Take your kids out to Kiddieland for one of the final days.' You may just feel a bit of nostalgia about visiting the park for the final times.' It’s a great time to take pictures for your photo album because chances are great that you won’t see an amusement park of this size and happy environment again.' At what other amusement park will you get free Pepsi’s- Drink stations are located around the park and are free of charge.' How fun is that?

Bringing your baby along' Go to the guest services area and get your bottle warmed up for you.' If you run out of diapers, you can even get them also at the guest services area.

And there is also free parking' That is truly unheard of these days.

Enjoy a warm summer day at Chicago’s Kiddieland and enjoy how it used to be.

Chicago’s Farnsworth House Tours

Enjoy a tour by bus of the architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s important Chicago buildings.' The bus tour lasts about 7 hours and begins at 9:30am.'

You will tour from North Lakeshore drive’s buildings that gave way to the modern skyscraper.' Next the tour will go to the Illinois Institute of Technology and check out a clear or glass building.' This building is really something to see where all of the walls to the outside are glass.' I think it would be fun to live in a glass house if you lived out away from everyone or if you were surrounded by trees.' Just watch out for those people with stones.' Next stop will finally get you to the Farnsworth House.- Takes losts of pictures of the retreat on the Fox River.

Your tour includes a yummy lunch at Mio Amore Italian Steakhouse.'

The next upcoming dates for the tours this month are Thursday, August 13, and Sunday August 30th.' If you are a member of the CAF, you will receive a $15 discount on the cost of the tour which is $75.

If you visit on other days, the cost is $18 per person with children under 14 paying $12. So by going on Thursday or Friday evening you are receiving a great deal.
