The Princess Club

by Matt B on September 15th, 2007

Pop culture and fairy tales collide in a new comedy by Jim Lasko called The Princess Club. Showing at the Redmoon, four underdressed princesses who have been raised on nothing but tales of Cinderella and Snow White are suddenly faced with the sexy, scandalous stories of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. Now the girls are trying to remain current and “beautiful,” and the results are hilarious. What would Rapunzel think of Fergie’s “lovely lady lumps”? What kind of fashion tips would Sleeping Beauty take from Britney Spears? This adults-only show takes an amusing look at beauty, power, and gender roles in both the tabloid and storybook pages. The Princess Club @ Redmoon Theater ($15-$30): 1463 W Hubbard St; 312-850-8440
