The Chicago Jazz Ensemble with Artistic Director Jon Faddis, announces the 10th American Heritage Jazz Series
Harris Theater takes on a wonderful Jazz flavor when Patty Austin and The Chicago Jazz Ensemble meet on Friday November 24, 2008. Prepare yourself for a smooth Jazz experience on a cool Friday night. Patty Austin, the recipient of nine Grammy nominations will seranade with the Jazz Ensemble. For those of you who didn’t know it, Patti Austin sung a duet with Michael Jackson on the song “It’s the Falling in Love” from the Off the Wall Album. In June she released the single “The Grace of God” that features Patti with Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Chaka Khan and Queen Latifah just to name a few. These ladies are not typically singing together, so you know it is by the ‘Grace of God’ and it is a great song.
