Happy New Year Flower Child

by kpeoples on January 1st, 2009

Welcome to 2009.' The weather is not ideal, but you may have spring wishes.' If so, it’s time to check out the Winter 2008 Flower Show at the Garfield Park Conservatory.' It may not feel like spring outside but it will sure look like spring when you come to visit the flower show.' They are open 9am to 5pm every day through January 11 so you still have plenty of time.' It’s free to attend and it can be the backdrop for some very pretty pictures, so get out your camera.' Bring the entire family.

It wouldn’t be a Winter flower show without Pointsettias and you will find reds there of course.' In addition you will see oranges and whites that are quite shocking and beautiful.' There are other types of flowers of course but Pointsettias are the flower of the season.' Take time out for something different and check out the Conservatory.'
