Boys Will Be Boys Will Be Bored
My brothers and I all had different interests that usually kept us busy. However, there were always dreaded lapses of boredom. And of course, whenever we were bored, we did what brothers do: we fought.
The Chicago Tribune recently featured an article that listed a number of activities that will help keep boys entertained and may just keep their parents sane. For example, your boys might be at that stage where all things 'gross' are 'cool,' so stop by the International Museum of Surgical Science. Kids are bound to learn something amidst all the 'nasty' exhibits of the human body.
Many boys are interested in cars or trains. The Museum of Science and Industry has a very remarkable model railway with 30 trains running on 3500 feet (1067 m) of track. And if your little guys are 'too cool' to go anywhere with Mom or Dad, try some at-home activities like board games or even digital photography.
The 'tweens and teens are difficult enough for young men. Hopefully these ideas will help make life a little more fun for both them and the people around them. For the full article, click here.
