Orchids by Hausermann, Inc. is the oldest and largest orchid grower in the Midwest and is one of the world’s largest orchid ranges.
Carl Hausermann, the founder, started growing crops such as sweet peas, roses, and gardenias in 1920. His son, Edwin, began purchasing orchids 15 years later, replacing the other flowers. Now, approximately 400,000 Cattleya blooms are produced annually by the range.
This impressive greenhouse serves customers both locally and globally. From seed to bloom, Hausermann’s has something for every hobby and occasion. The firm also does its part to save many endangered and rare orchid species through an aggressive seed program.
