Want to Learn to Tango?

If you have ever wanted to learn how to Close and Open Embrace Tango, here is your chance.  Wow your friends at dinner parties when you put on a Tango and strut your stuff.

Beginner’s Six Weeks Classes beginning Tuesday November 11, 2008 at the Dance Center Chicago, 3868 North Lincoln Ave, Chicago 60613.  There is free parking at Corus Bank on the corner of Damen and Irving Park.

 The class will begin with fundamentals and then move progressively introducing you to elements and concepts that will help you begin your Tango journey.  You do not need a partner.  Here is a breakdown of the class:

Week 1 - Posture, Walking Pattersn

Week 2 - Stepping in tango-regular slow and double time

Week 3 - Turns and rock (My personal favorite)

Week 4 - Paradas and pasadas

Week 5 - Ochos

Week 6 - Ocho Cortado

Classes will run through December 23, 2008.  Class times are 8pm-9pm each tuesday.  Classes are $72 for the entire session or $12 per class.  Class size is limited.  To register, contact Agape.
