Tomorrow, the United States will celebrate Independence Day, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. There are several fireworks displays all across the city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs:
• At Navy Pier, the Fourth of July Fireworks are a ten-minute display accompanied with inspirational music. (9:30 p.m. – 9:40 p.m.)

The Italian Beef is a simple sandwich that is unique to Chicago, and there are several places in the city to find this great dish. Of course, just as is the case with pizza and hot dogs, Chicagoans can debate for hours on who has the best. We’ve talked about pizza. We’ve talked about hot dogs. Now, it’s time to discuss… beef. The Italian Beef is another dish associated with Chicago, and as can be expected, there plenty of places in the city to find this great sandwich. Among the best of them is Johnnie’s Beef.
This take-out cash-only place only fits about ten standing customers at its counter, so it’s fairly common to see a long line stretching out the door, day or night, rain or shine.
