Usually, liquor stores with a bar attached are, well, a bit sleazy. But that’s certainly not the case with Cal’s Liquors.
Don’t misunderstand me. This is a dive bar in every sense of the words. The tables are a couple decades old, the whole place could use a good scrub-down, and the atmosphere has a grimy, gritty feel to it. And yet, this is perhaps the most no-nonsense, most ordinary place you could ask for in the heart of the Loop.

Alright, gentlemen. I hear you. Sometimes you’re not looking for a trendy club or a stylish bar. Sometimes, you just need a place where you can grab a beer, hang out with the guys, and watch the game. If you’re in the mood for a no-frills neighborhood sports bar, you might want to check out Crabbby Kim’s Bikini Bar.
And just why is this establishment called a “Bikini Bar”? Because all the female bartenders wear skimpy two-piece bikinis every night, all year long. The Hooters franchise has got nothing on these ladies.
