WHAT:
Because sometimes you don’t need to go to the south of France or Tuscany for really great wine… Northern Michigan winery Blustone Vineyards produces some of the best Rieslings in the world, even winning double gold earlier this year at the San Francisco International Chronicle Wine competition for their Dry Riesling.
Guests for this special evening will taste a variety of Blustone wines paired with Chef Bill Kim’s modern Asian barbeque, a combination that is sure to surprise and delight. The four-course menu will include:
First Course
Blustone Pinot Blanc paired with Roasted Tuna with
white corn grits and shrimp dressing
Second Course
Blustone Dry Riesling paired with Lemongrass chicken with
asparagus, wheat berries and basil peanut pesto
Third Course
Blustone Pinot Noir paired with Tea smoked duck with
tamarind glazed charred broccoli and cous cous
Fourth Course
Blustone Late Harvest Riesling paired with Green Tea Float with
almond, apricot and vanilla soft serve
Following this April 23 dinner, bellyQ will be the only restaurant in Chicago
