Anthony Bourdain Visits Chicago
Anyone who knows food knows the name Anthony Bourdain, host of the Travel Channel’s No Reservations. The show is currently taping its fifth season, and it has finally come to Chicago.
So where did the famously critical chef and author dine? One of the restaurants Bourdain sampled was Hot Doug’s (which is now serving the ‘New Chicago’).
“I’m a huge fan. You can’t praise the place enough. I hope there’s never a backlash because of them being too popular or anything. They are wonderful in every way. The classic red hot is superb. And I don’t have to tell you how good the duck fat fries are.”

It just goes to show that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a great culinary experience. You just have to wait in a really long line.
The episode is scheduled to air early next year. For the full article on Bourdain’s Chicago eating adventures, click here.

Very cool! I would love to shadow this guy for a day when he is out exploring a city, not to mention tasting all the great food that he finds.
Thanks, Matt. Tony is no doubt a down-to-earth guy who enjoys good food, no matter what or where it is.
Anthony Bourdain is great! his shows is actually a breath of fresh air for the food industry. He has his own little style and it feels so real.
Thanks for sharing the great photo, Cinnamon. I’m sure it must have been a real treat to see Bourdain in person. Do you hit up Hot Doug’s often?
