Good boyfriends and girlfriends are few and far between. So when you do find love, no place embodies that amorous feeling like Between.

Between the Silver Room and evilOlive, this café just oozes sultry: frosted silver chandeliers, soft red barstools, feathered light fixtures, gauzy curtains, candle-flecked tables… Carved white walls complement the exposed, mauve brick. It’s like your own little love nest.

You and your honey can cozy up on one of the soft plush couches and share the global comfort fare (on small tapas plates) whipped up by Chef Radhika Desai. You can lick the crumbs off each other’s fingers after dishes like Belgian meatballs, petit seared tuna sandwiches, and spicy mantou burgers. If you prefer to keep your hands clean, fork-friendly foods include the lobster trifecta (a maki roll, bisque, and risotto cakes), sweet heat shrimp, coconut crepes, and yakuza beef. Finally, heat things up with delicious desserts: cinnamon apple French toast and “Between the Sheets” chocolate cake.

Between doesn’t just have to be for lovers, though. Round up some friends, and select from their long list of specialty martinis, including the “Vodka on the Cob.” This unusual combination of vanilla vodka with floating white cheddar popcorn is surprisingly good. For something a little less adventurous, try the “Betweeni” (their signature cocktail made with EFFEN Black Cherry) or a warm cup of sake.

This lounge is still a bit of a hidden gem, so let’s just keep this between you and me.
