Pressure Billiards
When you’ve had a rough day, you need a great place to blow off some steam. Pressure Billiards & Café in Edgewater is a chill place where you can play a little pool, have a few laughs, and even grab a few bites.
Wahib Merchant, owner and avid pool player, opened this neighborhood favorite back in 2005. This pool hall may be a bit upscale, but the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I love to play pool, and even though I’m not very good at it, I never feel intimidated or out of place when I’m there. The hall has about 13 billiard tables and even provides a few board games.
Over in the attached deli, the café-style menu offers desserts, sandwiches, fried foods, salads, bubble teas, and even specialty coffees. (But no alcohol!) As for myself, I’m a glutton for their nachos. Have a seat, and enjoy the local artists’ paintings and photographs which line the red walls. There’s also bound to be some kind of entertainment there; Pressure has comedy on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
Whether you come for the laughs, the food, or the tables, there’ll be no pressure at Pressure.
